Has anyone played any of the WRC video games? Are they any good? I’m in serious need of some good rally gaming. There hasn’t been a good console rally game since Dirt 1 on the 360 and I need my fix.

WRC games are terrible. All cars feel the same, and theres no difference in terrain.

I have WRC 2, it was good in terms of stages and stage miles (13 locations, six stages per event, though they all overlapped and half were reverse stages). Physics was probably somewhere between Dirt 2 and Dirt 3, but it was definitely a fun game. The depth and level of customization in career mode was pretty great (choose your co-driver, whose name actually shows up on the car with yours in game, choose your team manager and crew chief, choose your car number, paint your car, choose your sponsors, hire and fire crew, etc). It’s not stellar and it doesn’t have anything on DiRT Rally, but if you just want a decent fun rally game I’d recommend WRC 2, and WRC 5 if it’s similar.
(Side note, WRC 3 and 4 are region blocked and don’t work on American 360 consoles, though both worked on the PS3. Don’t know if that’s true for WRC 5 as well)

WRC 5 is due out 10/27 and Gamestop is selling it, so I’ll probably pick it up.
Will be at Parc Expose, and will try to stop by and say hi.

I played WRC4 on the PC and enjoyed it thoroughly. Lots of super stages and locations but weather is limited (fixed) but time of day settings are nice. As Dusty mentioned, the stages do overlap and the reverse do get annoying, but can’t really complain when you have iconic stages in finland and monte-carlo to play with. The six-stage rally + 2 service stages were something I really liked about the game, including the excellent pace note system (though Dirt Rally seems to improve this ten-fold compared to Dirt 3).
Compared to Dirt 3 Complete Edition, the graphics are definitely better and the terrain transfers better through whatever controller you are using. Vehicle selection isn’t as diverse as a Codemasters title, but all the WRC, WRC2, WRC3, Junior WRC entrants are up to date for that year and modelled very well (sound could use a bit more depth though).
Only issue I had on the PC version was that some stages, in interior view, would prove to be way too dark to be able to see out the windshield (note: I haven’t re-installed the game yet or played around with exposure settings, nor have I confirmed that it applies to consoles; I just know it isn’t local to one PC).

Seeing that this is on Xbox 360, I will probably have to pick it up. I tried RBR for a bit (I haven’t played a rally game since Dirt 2 I believe) and even though it may not be as good on 360, I can’t constitute spending the money for an xbone when I am in college and don’t play that often. This actually looks pretty neat.
